Cruelty Free & Vegan

We respect life in all its forms
Beauty care should not harm you or animals. More than vegetarian, Natura is 100% vegan. We have gone beyond and banned all ingredients from animal origin in our formulas.

We don’t test on animals since 2006 and we are cruelty free certified by PETA and also by Cruelty Free International. And since we do not test on animals, we developed a 3D Skin Printer to test our products and make sure it is safe for you.

Natura believes that beauty products should be cruelty free. We are proud to be Leaping Bunny approved. A global programme, Leaping Bunny requires cruelty free standards over and above legal requirements.

All os our own brand cosmetic and personal care products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, the internationally recognizable gold standard for cruelty free products. We adhere to a fixed cut-off date policy and proactively monitore our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to the Leaping Bunny criteria. Our supplier monitoring system is also independently audited.

Safe for you and for the planet

First and foremost, a safe product
We only use safe ingredients according to the latest scientific studies. We go beyond legal standards. Ingredients are replaced when they show evidence of environmental or human health risks. Our products are 100% safe - for you and for the planet.

Amazon forest ingredients

Fair trade ingredients from local communities
Our products are formulated with fair trade biodiversity ingredients from the Amazon, - such as Castanha, Açaí, Ucuuba and Patauá -, gathered by local Amazonian communities. We work with them to develop sustainable practices that collaborate to keep the forest standing. Currently, Natura's work benefits and promotes sustainable development for 5,500 families who help conserve the greatest tropical forest in the world.

Eco-logical packaging

Packaging with less impact on earth
Our priority is to use recycled materials and renewable origin, as well as refills. We are constantly looking for alternatives to reduce environmental impact. Currently we work with the 4 Rs: recyclable, recycled, renewable (sugar cane) and refills. Natura introduced refills in 1983 pioneering this type of effort in the Brazilian market. Overall, with just this one effort, the company contributes to removing 1.6 thousand tons of plastic annually, an equivalent to trash generated by 3 million people in one single day. Our green plastic made of sugar cane, a renewable raw material, while conventional plastic is made of fossil fuels such as petroleum. We aim to increase even more our usage of green plastic throughout the upcoming years.

Natural origin formulas

Where nature, technology and beauty meet
Our priority is to use natural and renewable ingredients. We combine the best cosmetic technology to deliver high performance products.

Responsible Sourcing

Transparency and sustainable practices in our supply chain
We value the traditional knowledge and share the benefits of Brazilian biodiversity active ingredients. We invest in forestry management and sustainable agricultural practices that fight deforestation and ensure the preservation of the forests. If we don’t take care of it now, what will be left for the people and animals of the forest and for the world?

Climate commitment

100% Carbon neutral
We measure carbon emissions of all our products, processes and pursue greenhouse emissions reduction of our entire value chain. When emissions cannot be avoided, we offset them through the acquisition of carbon credits. Natura, along with the Natura&Co family, has committed to reducing its carbon emissions, in a global movement to limit the global temperature rise to 1.5°C.
