Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, açaí flourishes in the hot, moist rainforests of Brazil. Harvesting açaí is a true labor of love. Skilled climbers scale some of the tallest trees in the Amazon to retrieve the fruit.
Once the fruit is gathered, baskets of açaí are distributed by boat all around the Amazon region. Delicious and deeply nutritious, açaí is consumed in many ways – in creamy bowls, with fish or meat, and in a variety of smoothies and desserts.
